Roman and Natalya Rudov

Homeowners since 2025, Natalya and Roman Rudov turned uncertainty into momentum, taking steady steps toward a home where their family could finally settle in, breathe, and belong.

Natalya and Roman were raising their family of seven in a cramped three-bedroom rental that came with constant challenges. Plumbing issues, a cold and drafty environment, and water in the basement make daily life difficult. Despite Roman’s steady work as a technician, their living conditions did not reflect the safe and secure home they wanted for their children.

Encouraged by friends from their church, the Rudovs applied to Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program, hoping for something better. They dreamed of a place to put down roots, grow a garden, and create a home their children could always return to. Through Habitat’s financial literacy classes, they gained confidence in managing their future, while the hands-on work of building brought a new sense of purpose. Natalya discovered a love for construction, and Roman found deep fulfillment working alongside people whose generosity left a lasting impression on their family.

The Rudovs embraced every step of the journey with gratitude and determination. They cherished working alongside volunteers and were deeply grateful for their dedication. "Thank God for these people," Roman shared.
