Michelle Dupin
Homeowner since 2010, Michelle took an important first step toward building a more stable and opportunity-filled future for their family through homeownership.
Before partnering with Habitat for Humanity, she had already invested in her family’s future by completing homeownership training through LaCasa and exploring small business opportunities. Michelle focused on creating a nurturing, creative home for their daughters, Oa’si, Nova, and baby Gia, filling their lives with imagination, learning, and hands-on creativity even within the limits of apartment living.
The family’s Habitat home opened the door to possibilities they had long envisioned. The girls were excited to decorate their own rooms and finally have space to play, while the family looked forward to simple joys like a yard of their own and welcoming loved ones into their home. More than that, they became part of a larger community, building relationships with neighbors and fellow homeowners.
Today, Michelle continues to live in the home, where that original vision of stability has taken root. Her youngest, Gia, was just two years old when they moved into the home and is now approaching adulthood, a reflection of the years of growth that have taken place within those walls. The home remains a foundation for new opportunities, a place where creativity, resilience, and family have continued to shape a meaningful and lasting future.
