2021 Women Build
What is the Women Build?
The Habitat for Humanity Women Build program recruits, educates, and encourages women to build and advocate for decent and affordable houses in our community.
How does it work?
Habitat is inviting Women Build Teams from our community to participate in our 2021 Women Build to help raise $20,000 for our Women Build home and to be recognized as a Women Build Sponsor.
Our goal is to have 10-12 Women Build teams join us in this 6-8 week build from late May through July. We are looking for team leaders to recruit women to join their team (5-15 individuals per team), with a team goal of raising $2,000. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Women Build home.
Once teams have committed to participate, they will be able to choose their date to participate. Habitat will share with each team a link to help them recruit and fundraise. All teams will be recognized as sponsors and invited to the Women Build groundbreaking and dedication.
Not part of a team?
It is not a requirement to volunteer in a Women Build team, all volunteers are welcome (yes that includes men). We build Wednesday through Saturday, from 8:30 am to 3 pm, and we will have many open dates to volunteer.
Are you ready to build with us?
No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved and improves the community that you share. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message.
